As I am understanding, currently you have ACCESS file which have forms/reports and data/query together and which you want to convert it to higher level in SQL database like using SQLSERVER database, MYSQL database etc. As a solution, I can take up your project and create an application with frontend as installation software which will be done in .NET framework and can be installed on any machine easily. Hi, I've got extensive experience in database design and application development and implementation on both platforms. I understand you want to convert, for starters, the data objects (tables, queries, indexes) to MS-SQLServer. Queries will be converted to Views or Stored Procedures, depending on their current use in the Access db. Special care will be given to Triggers, for which macros and VBA code will be inspected. Have you defined what to do with Forms and Reports(SSRS) or is it open to recommendation? Please take the proposed milestone breakdown just as indicative. Hello, I am a database developer with 14 years experience in Access and MS SQL. The transfer to MS SQL can be make in different ways. 1. Transfer tabels to MS SQL and set link to them. It is very simple - but if you have many users it will work slow. Very simple and fast. 2. ADP project, but if you will use MS ACCESS 2010. In Access 2013 ADP is not working. 3. Create Access + link queries to MS SQL ( it is a usefull) but it can takes more time. 4. .NET + MS SQL - it will be best choice. But it will take a big amount of time. Regards.
