Create IFilter to interface with our cloud-based service API

**Background:**

OCR-IT provides Cloud-based API for OCR and document conversion. Developers can subscribe and use OCR-IT automated services to extract text from images, produce searchable PDFs, and transform images to various text formats (MS Word, Excel, etc.). [url removed, login to view]

Key features of our service are:

- OCR of images or PDFs to produce searchable PDFs

- many mage formats as input

- Many text formats as output

- Supports about 150 text languages

- Subscription, pay per use, no up-front costs

**Specifications:**

This project is to create an IFilter interface, which can be used in Windows Search and in SharePoint (main goal). When this IFilter sees associated file type, it will need to send the file using POST API to OCR-IT service for processing. When processing is done, result will be returned to IFilter. API is provided for everything from sending the image to receiving the result back. We'll provide sample code and technical assistance with our API. We will provide a free development account to our service.

In IFilter configurations, the user will need to setup the following:

- Paste the Account ID (which they'll get from our website registration)

- Association which files types to process (may be outside of IFilter, per standard conventions)

- Language for OCR (can select multiple languages, our service will handle auto-detection)

- Desired output format

We are open to Bidder's suggestions how to best implement these features and settings.

**Bidder Requirements:**

- Must have past experience developing IFilters (in bid)

- Preferred experience with POST API (in bid)

**Deliverables:**

- Source code (.NET preferred)

- Compiled application

- Basic Installation instructions for us to create our own installer MSI

- Basic Documentation of functionality
