chatboard redesign

I am looking for a redesign of my chat board at [login to view URL] I would like for it have a more proffesional and friendly feel. Something like [login to view URL], but it would also need to reflect the fact that people come to the board looking for bread maker and salad recipe information. Also it needs better incorporation of adsense so that ads appear to the left of posts. I may be willing to go over the suggested budget depending upon the amount of work involved.
