DATABASE CREATION

We have a client that needs a database created. This database will initially run on a Windows XP computer, then either to a Windows7/8 or 10 within the year. The database will be set up similar to a client supplied spreadsheet with fields and only a thousand rows of data to load. Prior to the start of the creation of the new database, the database type MUST be identified for client (Ie/ Oracle, Access etc). The Database Must (at start of project - used for testing with client & proof of concept): Database MUST import a spreadsheet (xls or xlsx or csv or Apache Open Office) to populate the database but ONLY load 10 rows. Adding another import will delete the old rows so the limit is only 10 rows. The Database must have an installer/uninstaller (whereby the client can download and install to their local machine). Able to export a report and link to a static image which incorporates corporate branding. The Database (at end of project): Need to have a logon with password - links to a field in the Database to identify who has made the last and latest changes. Should incorporate a license key to activate and time out after a specific time frame. Database MUST import a spreadsheet (xls or xlsx or csv or Apache Open Office) to populate the database but ONLY load 10 rows. Will have an installer and uninstaller. Will be able to import and export the data from/to xls or xlsx or csv or Apache Open Office. Data within the database will need to keep history, and changes needs to the cells need to be capture and stored with retrieval when necessary. Also, the changes to the database need to capture the user, date and time. Ability to export a static report as a .doc or pdf as well as append a document with a 'mail merge’ or link to an image (.jpg or .pdf) - which incorporates corporate branding. This will take the database tables and have exported as a form (which will be replicated when delivered by the client). There must be an easy methods to retrieve a file through search or string search and optional fields. The ability to edit and have a GUI is important to have something that is easy to use and very stable. There MUSt be a back up strategy as well as documentation on how to do the back ups and how to retrieve the data and import if there is a total failure. After the project, all source data, software and documents are required ignored to maintain, replicate, make additions and edit this database over time. The license key generator will allow for a user/usergroup to access the database over a time and will create an initial popup message that the time is running out and to contact the client, and after the time has run out, an error message upon initial logon will identify to contact the client for an updated key. Recommendations and surrounding this project are welcomed in order to have a superior product that works and looks great. The idea is there and we are looking for someone with high technical experience to assist on this aspect of a larger project.
