I have gone through several such tasks where we have to compare two different design proposals to get maximum output and hence to improve the efficiency like Shaft design for increased power requirement (in this project three alternatives were been compared in terms of design criteria and overall cost), Rollover prevention of cars (TRIZ methodology was been used for generating various concepts and evaluate them), Green Energy approach in Life Cycle Assessment (To decide how much product from which plant to produce in order to meet the environmental aspects keeping in mind the profit out of it).
