Proofing and formatting a book on Linux would be very interesting to me. I have been writing both technical, research and creative documents for most of my career. Hi, so I know it's a bit more than you're budget but I figure if it's your first book - you want to do it right. Whether you pick me or not, don't for goodness' sake, pick anyone who doesn't have 100% in either US English 1 or UK English 1. The questions it asks is stuff my kids can do. Their vs there; it's vs its. Here's what I offer: a thorough proofread. 80k words is a lot by the way and would probably take the better part of two days (such work is part of my job, so I know what I'm talking about). Formatting into a book format can be simple or complicated, depending on where you want to publish it. I'm an expert at InDesign and I can give you a typeset book for printing or an ebook or both - something to think about or talk about if you're interested in hiring me. Hope to hear from you.
