I have written a program that installs on Windows XP and Vista and is designed to protect the computer against theft. The software is mostly written in ASM code and uses many tricks to make it difficult to break.
The goal for this posted project is install the software under Vista and XP and then attempt to debug it and break it and figure out what it does using tools like Olly, WinDbg, IDA, etc..
During stage 1 you'll write a report detailing your efforts to see what has gone on without any input from me.
During stage 2 I'll tell you exactly what I've done and you'll try to break into it or crash it.
Only bid if you know how to debug kernel drivers otherwise you'll have no luck at all.
