I have used CL since 2003 looking for independent contractors for my old publishing business then over time for numerous personal items like house hold goods or trying to sell my pets. I have had much success but also disappointed in the direction CL has gone for paid placement as well as the lack of typing etiquette & respect for another done by the users. It seems this site as well others enables people be to be rude. Posting multiple ads is also a challenge but I have had much success for my clients with repeat ads and strategic ad copy placement. I realized the internet is lacking a posting service - so I have created one and slowly building it up a clientele. CL seems to always draw the best responses but it does take more time posting with CL than other free classified websites that I currently use in my marketing efforts. With over 400 free classified websites & counting CL is a great marketing tool but who is the next CL on the horizon? BackPage, Kijiji, Kugli, Razzza or ????
