I have often written for money. The topics were frequently financial: commodities, company shares, particular industries, spread betting techniques, forex, tax, market indices and general news. I also tackled many other subjects that included real estate, healthcare, travel and cars.
Deadlines were usually on the day I was informed of a task. I had many good ideas: how a French court declared poker to be a game of skill, whether spread betting is compatible with Islam and how to get a mortgage when one's income comes from spread betting.
For leisure, I have written of conspiracy theories, UFOs, and environmental matters. Having written so much voluntarily, I clearly have a passion for this.
Through oDesk, I completed many jobs that were almost all writing, generally receiving the top rating of 5. A number of oDesk employers described me as “great.” Four of these jobs were proofreading, and I received a rating of 5 for each. One client said, “Mr. Chilman is fast, accurate and intelligent,” a second said, “Fast and accurate” and a third said, “Great work” twice. I achieved ten marks of 90+ percent in oDesk tests relating to English. I completed other paid writing and proofreading tasks.
