A report after penetration testing -- 2
£18-36 GBP / hour
ONLY 2500 WORD REPORT
You need to look at a public website and state vulnerabilities and use data gathering tools to gather vital information.
analyse an VM.....
• Apply appropriate tools to footprint, enumerate and, where necessary, exploit the VM.
• Identify vulnerabilities based on the output of your technical investigation.
• Demonstrate realistic attacks that exploit any identified vulnerabilities, and carry out
exploits that demonstrate their impact.
• Summarise the risks identified, and ensure that the steps taken to realise these risks are
reproducible.
• Document the results of your analysis, and ensure the evidence used in your analysis is
carefully referenced.
also Using Dimkov’s environment-focus physical penetration testing methodology (Dimkov et al.,
2010), write three attack scenarios that a lone physical penetration tester can follow to gain
possession of the Raspberry PI. Although the penetration tester executing the scenario will be
competent, he/she will have little prior knowledge of the place before carrying out the
tests.
To adequately complete this part of the assignment, you will be expected to:
• Using Dimkov et al.’s R* requirements as guidance, elicit the ethical requirements that
need to hold for each scenario. You should pay particular attention to conflicts between
these requirements.
2
• For each stage in your scenarios, describe (a) the resources needed by the penetration
tester, (b) who needs to be socially engineered and how, and (c) what time of the day the
stage should take place.
• Document the results of your analysis, and ensure the evidence used in your analysis is
carefully referenced.
