Ruby On Rails Web Developer Needed - REPOST

Note: This job is a repost, if you applied for the original please do not apply again. We’re looking for a web developer and technical all-rounder who can handle a variety of platforms. They must have the ability to troubleshoot problems when they arise along with being able to further improve and build on an existing platform. Our platform consists of a WordPress plugin that pulls data from a backend that scans and provides results from across the internet. Your skills should include experience with and the ability to work with Ruby on Rails, Heroku, SQS Job Queue, PostgreSQL, S3 and SendGrid, with WordPress (PHP/ MySQL) experience a bonus. We are an upcoming startup that is about to launch and will expand with time, so there are strong opportunities for the right candidate to grow with the company, perhaps even later to a management position where you could be managing a tech team that supports our technology. For the moment, however, we need someone who can commit to supporting our platform through the launch phase, which means you’ll need to be able to think on your feet and make positive changes on the fly and maintain our customer experience and moving forward, we will be looking at you to help us define our roadmap of innovation and deliver on that. Hours of work will vary based on business need but we are prepared to consider making this a salaried position or an hourly rate position based on your proposal. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate fluently and effectively in English with the other members of our team. All of our team works remotely and as long as the work gets done efficiently you may work from anywhere. However, online meetings will be held occasionally between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. (GMT +7) so some overlap with these hours will be essential. You will report directly to our CEO but also work closely with the COO and CMO to get things done. We look forward to receiving your proposals.
