CountBOX is a manufacturer of sensors provide highly accurate, anonymous information about how people move into, around, and out of physical places. These smart devices are installed overhead inside retail stores, malls, banks, stadiums and other brick-and-mortar locations and measure people’s behaviors.
Using people counting and tracking metrics, retailers can identify and capitalize on opportunities to increase sales, grow margins, enhance customer experience and loyalty through improved service, optimize in-store marketing initiatives, and rapidly implement operational improvements at individual locations, regionally or across the entire chain.
General task things
+ Use Golang [url removed, login to view]
+ Linux is a preferred operational system for a micro instance
+ Save data with the highest resolution. For CountBOX SD-1 we should write to the database each single counting line crossing. For Hella APS-180 we must save data for each minute.
+ To communicate with Hella sensors must be connected by MQTT
The task goals and doing steps
+ Predict and choose the right micro instance plan on AWS and launch it (we will provide our account credentials)
+ Install and launch necessary Web Server software
+ Install OpenVPN server software
+ Install HPE Vertica Community Edition (free edition) database software
+ Develop and launch ‘Data broker software / service’ (see architecture scheme for more details)
+ Develop a script to setup OpenVPN settings for Hella ASP-180 devices (see description below)
+ Develop and launch ‘Data visualization service’ with necessary web-interfaces number 1 and 2 (see architecture scheme for more details) and below.
+ Design the right and simple databases
+ Write Interface #1 (WebAPI data providing) description.
