Android Studio SDK 30 Code Help : Https/SSL calls not happening in release build

I have an app using Android SK 30, using retrofit to make https connection. In debug mode our https calls are fine but in release mode, there is no error logged or thrown but https calls are not recognizing. SSL certificate is AWS and in code we generated .cer and added to raw folder and added the network-security-config . .cer is generated from browsing our [login to view URL] and then from Internet Explorer> Developer tools> Security> View certifcate> Details> Advanced> .DER format . We can not downgrade SDK at all as now Play store need min SDK 30
