Hello! We need a person with an eye for detail for a dedicated project: That means you will be working on this REMOTE project 6 hours per day, 5 days per week, for 4 weeks = 120 hours. It requires a lot of focus, this is why your day will only cover 6 hours, not 8 hours.
You need a real computer for this project, a mobile phone or laptop is not enough. :)
Your skills:
1. Perfect English skills, perfect grammar
2. You are very very very good at using Google to research information and you don't give up once you hit a obstacle. You're not afraid to pick up the phone to call someone to get the information you're looking for.
3. You know how to use Google Translate and you're able to translate something from English to another language, and you'll make sure that the translation is correct by reverse-translating it.
4. You know how to use Excel.
That's it. :-)
Your task is to contact every (almost) telecommunication provider on this planet via E-Mail. But first, you have to find them. Here's probably the best way to go about it according to our experience:
1. Per country on this planet, your task is to research the website/name of the telecommunication regulatory body/organization for that particular country. Here's a list to start with so you know what I'm talking about: [login to view URL]
2. Next, your task would be to find a list of all "serious"/established telecommunication providers in that country. To give you an example, the regulatory body in the UK is called Ofcom. And on Ofcom's website we can find a list of the number ranges which Ofcom assigned to telecom providers, showing the number blocks and the providers names (We assume that a established telecommunication provider is in charge of their own number ranges). Here you could find such a list: [login to view URL]
3. Now that you have the list of established providers, you would Google their company names in order find their websites. On their websites, you would try to find the E-Mail address of the "sales department" or "carrier sales" (B2B not B2C) or another appropriate contact method (web form) if that company shouldn't list E-Mail addresses on their website. As as last resort, you would call them on the phone and ask for the E-Mail address of their carrier sales department.
4. You would now enter the data you have gathered (company name, E-Mail address) into an Excel sheet to document your work.
5. As a last step, you would send them an E-Mail. The text is pre-defined and will be provided by us. However, if you estimate that the recipient won't understand English then you will use Google Translate to create a translation of the English text and send that text instead (and will also reverse-translate your translation to see if it was properly translated, and adjust the words where necessary). It has to look as professional as possible. If the E-Mail bounces you will do your best to find a better E-Mail address for that company. If you receive a reply by a human, you don't bother with it because we will handle it from there.
6. Also, you will make sure to note the postal (mailing) address of the company you just contacted. We will send them a letter via post later on and for this purpose we need their full international mailing address.
7. Repeat for the next country.
We will give you a list of countries to prioritize.
Once the month is over, we will see how far you got. If there are countries left on this planet and you haven't gone crazy yet it would be possible to extend the project.
We are a German company and we expect 100% accuracy and professionalism. No typos, no mistakes. Sorry! :-) Therefore please only bid on this project if you have reflected yourself enough that you are really the right person for this job!
Thank you! :-)
