Decode ATMEGA162V Firmware downloaded from a device were the source code has been lost so it can be uploaded to another device and the code rewritten [login to view URL]: Device signature = 0x1e9404 (probably m162) [login to view URL]: safemode: hfuse reads as DA [login to view URL]: safemode: efuse reads as FF [login to view URL]: safemode: Fuses OK (E:FF, H:DA, L:FF) It appears the firmware downloaded is scrambled using [login to view URL] [login to view URL] -v -pm162 -c usbasp -F -U flash:r:i:\salcom\decoder\[login to view URL]:r as the first part of the bin file should be the reset interupt 00 00 01 01 00 00 03 03 00 00 01 01 04 04 07 07 00 00 01 01 00 00 03 03 08 08 09 09 0c 0c 0f 0f 00 00 01 01 00 00 03 03 00 00 01 01 04 04 07 07 10 10 11 11 10 10 13 13 18 18 19 19 1c 1c 1f 1f 00 00 01 01 00 00 03 03 00 00 01 01 04 04 07 07 00 00 01 01 00 00 03 03 08 08 09 09 0c 0c 0f 0f 20 20 21 21 20 20 23 23 20 20 21 21 24 24 27 27 30 30 31 31 30 30 33 33 38 38 39 39 3c 3c 3f 3f the first bytes should contain a Jump 940C it containt 0000 which is a no-opp So either the device is protected or the extract command is incorrect

Is it important for you to decode the firmware? I just checked the schematic and can see the project is pretty straightforward, I need you to tell me what you expect from the ATMEGA, and I can do the firmware for you .. anyway if you insist to decode the hexadecimal data, I have no problem, I have already worked a lot with microprocessors and assembly.
