Art Director/Graphic Designer Wanted

£30,000 per anum
Job Description:
BKN International AG is a global animation company engaged in the production, distribution and marketing of childrens animation and the marketing of related consumer products in all forms. BKN owns the rights to many successful global brands and over 800 hours of programming. We are currently in production of or have immediately slated more than 14 separate animated series and feature length productions.
Art Director wanted with exceptional graphic design skills, to maintain creative supervision of BKNs brand identity and the presentation of all BKN products. Responsibilities will be divided into two key areas:
A) To personally design, or supervise design of, all BKN marketing and promotional materials â including design for print, packaging design, posters, advertising, business presentation materials etc. Logo design and conceptualisation of brand identities will also feature prominently, as will web design and website management.
B) Creative supervision and project management of all materials produced externally under license â including the development of toy lines, video games and other merchandising, plus quality control of all packaging and print materials etc. You will be required to collaborate with, and give advice and instructions to toy designers, game developers and so on.
Requirements:
Excellent graphic design skills. Mac and PC literate. Fast and efficient. Clear understanding of file formats. Strong natural illustration skills essential. Must be fully competent in the following software:
Photoshop, Illustrator, Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Aftereffects, Final Cut or other editing software.
Web design skills and a knowledge of HTML essential, experience in using CSS and Flash preferred.
Applicant must have experience in, and an understanding of the animation industry and the animation process. Some experience in toy and product development preferred.
