Choose (1) book or the movie adaptation. Each paper should explore concepts that have been discussed/used in class. All papers MUST use S.I.R.S.E (Ch 4). Note the below questions are reminders for areas to include using a S.I.R.S.E format which will allow for fuller clinical exploration of the character you are discussing:➢ Introduction to the presenting problem of the main character(s). What is happening with the youth? Are they depressed? Dealing with anger? (Eating disorder? Etc.) Are the behaviors internalized or externalized? Describe. Why now? What caused, if known, the change in the presentation of the youth?➢ Describe the home environment or the environment to which the youth is in. How may this be impacting them? Parenting styles. Relationship with identified guardian and how this may impact what is manifesting. Cultural factors. Age differentials (generation gap between parent and youth) if they exist, how does it impact the relationship, understanding of the presenting problem? Financial impacts to the family and thereby the youth. Exposure to violence? Are there cultural factors that are also impacting the youth?➢ What is the youth’s perception of themselves? How havepeer relations affected him / her in either a positive or negative way?➢ Did the youth undergo any treatment? If so, describe the treatment and how it changed the overall presentation of the youth.➢ Did the literature or movie raise any concern on how youth may be affected today? Did it raise any emotions in you and if so, what and how would you have dealt with the youth differently than the individuals that they encountered?
