Good Day,
For any development with shopping malls to be much of a 'breakthrough' in this technological day and age there definitely has to be an appeal to the 'tech savvy' direction of our current generation. Some may say the days of shopping at the mall itself is becoming numbered based on the wide array of online merchants where u can browse, order, pay and have your merchandise delivered to your doorstep. This represents limited time consumption and greater convenience, therefore the question is: how do we keep these factors present in online shopping whilst enhancing the experience of customers in their visit(s). People who still walk the mall are looking for an experience but still need speed and effeciency. My idea (or ours) is to have a virtual mall whereby the store has cameras and/or footage which can then be viewed via website as a 3D in your home or other environment via laptop, tablet or mobile device. This would allow one to pretty much walk the store without leaving your present location, create your shopping cart as you would do online but then to keep the 'experience factor' you would visit the store to fit all your outfits and selections. Thus based on the product being offered, say for eg. clothing; the store itself could consist of a cutting edge layout with mirrors and cameras for istant selfie photos, which clients can have the option of sending to social media etc. after they have made their payment.
