Hi,
My name is Vin I’m a freelance multimedia designer. In my free time I like to ride my Boosted Board V1 (electric skateboard) and use it for short trips.
As of recently the battery to drive the motors has started to loose its capacity for charge. When researching how to replace the battery pack a member of the eSka8 community mentioned the following. That if the battery back is replaced there is a chance of bricking the board as the BMS (Battery Management System) regulates the voltage of the battery and takes notes of the last recorded voltage. The comments also said that power tools do this too as a safety feature.
My job for someone requires that someone figures out how to flash the BMS when the new battery pack is ready to go in.
If you require further information please do get in touch and I’ll help as much as possible.
Many thanks,
Vin
hello sir i am an electrical engineer with experience working with BMS. I also did a pet project a while ago where i designed my own battery and used a BMS specified to its specifications. i get what your requirement is but i will need a few more details. kindly message me so that we can discuss this further.
