I have developed numerous applications using external API's. I have 20 years experience with VB6 and have been using VB.NET and C# since they were first released. After reviewing the documentation, I would recommend that we create an "adapter" object which to begin with will use the Sterling API. This would allow us to in the future easily migrate to a newer technology because based on the documentation attached they are still recommending the use of VB6. The UI would then use this adapter application hiding the complexities of interfacing with Sterling's API. I will need more information as to the specific settings which will actually be used to make the trading decisions. In the setting up of the project plan we can sketch up the UI needed. I would store the settings in a configuration XML file which the UI could load and save. I am located in Toronto.
