I will provide you with a simple OpenGL program (C++ , xCode). the program draws 5 yellow points and one green line . The points move forward randomly and the line has a fixed place start point([url removed, login to view], 0.30) and end point(0.30, 0.30).
and we have a predefined region, let's say
topleft ([url removed, login to view], 0,25, 0.25) ,
topright (0.25, 0.25, 0.25),
downleft ([url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], 0.25) and
downright(0.25, [url removed, login to view], 0.25).
Now, the requirements:
1-Any point that cross this region must be flagged i.e we can trace it inside and outside the region. For example you might change its color to red as soon as it cross the region and its new color (i.e the "red") must be preserved after it exit the region.
2-when we click on the green line its color must be changed to red.
Important notes: OpenGL 4.1 (version 4.1 exactly) must be used and no deprecated functions are allowed especially SELECT_MODE.
I forgot to mention that the first requirement must be done inside the shader.
