English-Speaking Virtual Assistant who know HTML very well

The total time to accomplish the goals of this project may take as little as 20 hours over a two to three day period. But you may wish to allocate 40 hours over a four to seven day period to accomplish the project with high quality. I am looking for a professional, internet-savvy virtual assistant who is very good in understanding HTML and clean web design. It is helpful if you know CSS too. Your task would be to work in using a simple-to-learn CMS (Content Management System). I have four (4) customers who I need to upgrade from an older version of a CMS to a newer version (it is somewhat similar to Wordpress). You need to take the content from the old site, login to the new CMS site and place in the content. Although it might seem easy to simply "Copy & Paste" from one site to the other, I will require you to spend time making the page look good, making sure all the links work, that all the files download correctly, and that the new site is professional looking. I can perform an upgrade on my own for a single site in about 4-6 hours. This project consists of four (4) customer sites that need to be moved to a newer CMS, and could take you anywhere from 20 hours to 40 hours to complete. 60% of this job is visual and detail oriented, where you need to have a good eye for layout and organization of content 40% of this job is technical, where it is helpful if you have a very good understanding of HTML and CSS Your tasks will include the following for each of the four web site projects: • Going page-by-page, copying text from one site and adding it to the new site • Downloading files (mostly PDFs, Word files and JPGs) from the old site and uploading them to the new site • Linking the files on the new site and checking that they work properly • Organizing the content on a page to make it look visually nice (no unnecessary spaces, visually attractive organization of text and links, proper use of H1 & H2 tags, must have consistent fonts and sizes throughout new web site -- even if old site didn't have consistency, etc.) • Making sure the layout of the pages you build in the new site's CMS is very similar to the old site's look and feel, or where it looks better. I am not looking for speed, but rather accuracy, professionalism and quality of work are most important. I am looking for an individual who is detail oriented and who can produce excellent work that does not need a lot of checking. During the course of this project, I will be available via email and Skype. If needed, I can also remotely connect to your computer with GoToAssist and answer any questions you might have. However after the first of four projects is completed, I would expect you to be able to do most of the work without needing any more hand-holding, as the purpose of this project is to save me time by hiring you to do the work for me :) The right person...: • Is very competent, responsible and detail oriented, and able to work well with me. • Speaks and writes FLUENT American English – this is very important. I do not want spelling mistakes in the final projects, especially since you will be copying from an existing client's web site • Is able to devote 5 to 10 hours per day to complete a web site upgrade project. • Is detail-oriented, organized, resourceful, reliable and takes pride in doing high quality work. • Is dependable and able to work independently ******************* NOTE: Please bid for the amount you would charge as a lump sum for up to 1 week (40 hours) of work to convert four (4) existing web sites to a new version of the CMS.
