This is a slightly unusual job. I may or may not select someone for the task. I may put this task on the back burner and invite current bidders to bid on a new one in the future, when I am ready to put the services to use. If I do select you for the task, you’ll be committing to periodic work at a future undetermined date, likely to begin in two to four weeks.
I am beginning a job search. I will locate the jobs. I will then send the jobs to you so you can fill out the application for me.
You will fill out the job application by doing all of the following:
- Copy data from my resume to the job application (e.g. for employment and education history). Whenever possible, this should be done via copy and paste to avoid typos. I may provide multiple resumes. If I do, I will specify the resume to use for each job.
- Answer other common job application questions according to the answers I provide to you in a document. This document will grow over time so that you are increasingly able to answer more questions for me without my assistance. That said, with questions for which I have not already provided answers, you will refer them back to me so I can personally answer them.
- Use the mail merge feature of MS Office to generate customized cover letters for each position. We may use numerous different cover letter merge templates (if so, I will be clear as to which template to use for each application). You will only need to update the Excel files, generate different the different cover letters, and upload them to the application. The data for the fields will be supplied to you.
- Save the application and notify me so I may proofread and submit it.
This task requires zero typos. Zero. The typing, capitalization, etc. must be absolutely perfect. You will be able to copy and paste nearly all of it (in fact, you will probably be able to copy and paste everything). However, in the event of a typo, you will not receive credit for that specific job unless I supplied you something that had the typo in it already.
These tasks will not be assigned all at once. Instead, I will assign them as I locate jobs to which I wish to apply. When I locate a job to which I want to apply, I will then create a milestone attached to the specific application. The value of the milestone will be equal to 1/100 the total value of this project. You will then have 24 hours to complete the milestone (fast applications are important). Once you have completed the project, I will release payment for the milestone. These 100 applications may occur over a the course of a week, a month, or longer. This is because my job search will ebb and flow and I may/not immediately find the roles to which I want to apply.

Please know that I am aware of how quickly these tasks can be performed. This is simply something I don't like doing and, knowing how reasonable this service should be, it makes more sense to spend my time elsewhere.
(Please also note that I may gift some of these applications to one or both of my parents. If so, everything else about the job will remain the same, but you will use different documents to fill out the applications. This will all be made very clear.)
