Scrape and manipulate sports data

This is a project to scrape and then manipulate some sports data for rugby league (NRL) and Australian rules (AFL). For each sport/league, I want to find out what the maximum lead for each team was during the game, and append this data to a separate spreadsheet which contains odds data. I would like this completed by Thursday if possible.   AFL A sample page of what needs to be scraped is here: [login to view URL]   The third column of the last table on this page shows the score as it progressed throughout the game. Each team's score is written [login to view URL], where ZZ is the total score (the number I care about). I would like to know the maximum lead for each team. For example, in the example link above, the maximum lead for Essendon was 6 points (at time 1m 57s), and the maximum lead for the Gold Coast was 61 points (at the end of the game).   I have attached a spreadsheet ([login to view URL]) to which I would like two new fields (Max Lead Home Team & Max Lead Away Team) added. I have also shown the URL for each of the games in this spreadsheet, both as text, and also as a formula if you want to see how the URLs are compiled.   NRL A sample page of what needs to be scraped is here: [login to view URL]   (Note: this is the best source I can find - if you can find a better source please use it!)   Below the referee and venue, there is a list of the key plays in the game - scoring plays and yellow and red cards. There are four kinds of scoring plays (if you hover over the icons you can see what these are): - Try: 4 points - Conversion: 2 points - Penalty Goal: 2 points - Drop Goal: 1 point   Based on the list of key plays (and the minute in which they took place) you should be able to work out the progression of scores in the game, and therefore the maximum lead each team had in the game. In the example above the maximum lead for the Panthers was 6 points (it was 14-8 after the N. Cleary penalty goal in minute 31) and the maximum lead for the Rabbitohs was 8 (it was 8-0 after the A. Reynolds conversion in minute 7). I have attached a spreadsheet ([login to view URL]) to add the data too, which also has the list of URLs to get the game results from. Due to a quirk in how these are listed, in some cases the URL I have listed will not match up to the game on that row, so can you please also download the home team name (listed first), the away team name, the date of the match and the time of the match, along with the two other fields required (max lead home team and max lead away team). Using this you should be able to then match the data from each URL to the correct game in the spreadsheet.
