Hello Freelancers! I hope everyone is having a fantastic day. I am in the final stages before publishing my latest novel/collection of short stories (about love and relationships, and being kind to people, and the important decisions that we all must face at times), which I've been working very hard on for the last year and a half and has very much been a labor of love for me, but I pride myself on turning in professional looking work that is as error free as possible, and even though I think it is pretty much good to go, I am feeling paranoid about it having a few leftover mistakes that my previous editors and I may have missed. So I would like to hire a proofreader to give it one last read-through before I actually publish it. It's very important to me that nothing negative stands out about this book, like grammar mistakes. It should not be too much work for whoever I hire because it has been polished up by three different editors already. I'd like to hire someone who has a really good eye for catching mistakes. My biggest concern is missing punctuation (especially quotation marks), grammar mistakes and also tense errors, meaning writing a sentence in present tense when it should be past tense. All of the novel should be third person past tense. I'm also open to suggestion when it comes to re-wording or re-phrasing things if something reads awkwardly. I also need this done in a week or less if possible. The book is about 60,000 words long. Thanks in advance to anyone who would like to help me with this. It's very important to me, so please don't apply if you are only looking to earn some quick money and do not take pride in your work. Here is the synopsis:
Adam Arthur has built his life on telling love stories. In the final moments before a surgery from which there is no guarantee of waking up, Adam’s mind is filled with the stories of an array of individuals: each one unique, each one connected.
A jaded woman tires of pretending her way toward a perfect match; a wife who, after years of contentment, suspects her husband of unfaithfulness; a young mother wonders at what juncture her life took the wrong track; two lovers find their fate in one another, even if it requires more than one lifetime to fulfill that destiny. These tales and more intertwine in Adam’s memory as he considers the rippling effect of choices made and chances taken.
Told with romantic mystery, urgency, and hope, Luke P. Narlee’s collection of stories captures brief, significant moments in his characters´ lives. These 13 narratives of the heart remind us there are things in life that just can´t wait.
