There should be more to it than what you have mentioned in the project specifications. What is the code to be sent when keys are pressed on keyboard? What is the data to be displayed? RS485 is a half duplex medium. How to ensure that both ends do not transmit at the same time? hence more details are required. I have done quite a lot of RS485 designs and can definitely be of service to you in this project
