I want to duplicate the work published in the paper " Adhesive wear mechanisms uncovered by atomistic [could be found in the uploaded files]" with different material. My materials are monocrystalline silicon against DLC coating (material properties are available). All the simulation details and parameters could be found in the uploaded files. So what shall be done is rubbing single asperities (or a single asperity) against other asperities (or a single asperity) and check the wear procedure and wear volume etc.

Hi, thanks for the invitation. I think it an easy but tricky project. I checked the paper and it seems they've used Lennard-Jones potential while you need tersoff potential for modeling the interactions between silicon and DLC in 3D simulation box. I've worked with tersoff potential for modeling tensile strength of silica nanosheets before. Since I'm very busy these days, I can't deliver the project sooner.
