For starters you should NEVER have instruments going out of range if they are set up right. If they are you either have the wrong sensors, or they are not set up right or the PLC input channel is not set up right. SCADA systems should simply display whatever the number is. The only time they don't is when the actual display is not set up right. Unless you know exactly what is happening you should generally allow for an extra digit (or 2) in SCADA displays. Remember for some numerical displays the units and sign count as digits. It might simply be you need more room for the numbers. Can you please tell me more about the system? Can you tell me about the types of sensors that you are having trouble with? Can you please send me a screen shot of the SCADA displays? Like all automation problems information is important.
