We have a series of approximately ten MS Word documents and excel documents that must be populated with approximately eight variables relating to a job. The information is normally in a table at the start of the document and will include items such as the job number, customer name, product type etc. The documents may include a cover page with some of the information on there too. Currently we have to manually enter all of the information which leads to wasted time and errors. We would like to have a master list in excel into which all of the information can be entered. This information should then be used to populate a series of MS Word ans Excel templates which can then be saved into the correct folder on the server and completed as required. It would be preferable for each line in the excel list to have a button that can be pressed to "generate documents". When the user clicks the button, he should be presented with a dialogue box asking where the files should be saved. When he clicks "save" the documents are populated with the information and saved into the selected folder with the job number as a prefix on the file name. I have attached a sample of the information list along with an example of the typical target document layout. The successful bidder must have told me about similar projects they have worked on in the past and be able to demonstrate that they have read this brief. To be considered for this work you must state what day of the week it is that you have entered your bid.

Hi Sir. I am bidding on Thursday. I can embed the button in Excel sheet against each row to populate document with corresponding data but instead of embedding button in every row of Excel, I can improve the design by developing a user interface which shall present you with all the data and pressing the button after selecting a row will move that row's data to Word doc. Thursday Hi, I am Nallakumar. I have more than 8 years of experience in Office Automation. For this, we can have Word templates with Bookmarks on the locations where we have to insert the data and Excel templates, that will have named cells or with cell address. This will help in easy maintenance also, as you can change the details later, just by adding the reference in this sheet, without changing the code. In the the Master excel we will have a settings sheet, that will relate the Bookmark/cell address with the fields to be filled from the Master sheet. In the main sheet we will have a combo box to select the job to which the documents needs to be created. hi this Thursday I am bidding on this project. I have already done similar project for an AUD client. i can complete this project quickly using mail merge and macro . I can create a template as shown on the attached image . I can create a master file with all required fields and from there I can link the master spreadsheet with the concept of mail merge in word . so you can automatically get separate template as attached image for each row record in master file spreadsheet.
