Hello, I am a native German speaker, published author, and translating EN->GE since 1983. During that time I did pretty much everything from 4-page to 876-page technical manuals through websites through non-fiction books through lip-sync preparation for movies to, just these days, language education software. My knowledge focus points are art, lifestyle, finance/economics and marketing. No "translation software" is used, ever. I used to work in English speaking countries for 12 years as a contracted external. Experience and an open mind ensures, that my vocabulary is significantly above the average writer. So I can guarantee that you will receive excellent writing that hits the nail, not the thumb. I do *not* work on hourly rates. My regular fee is 32€ for the first 1,000 words, 27€ for every additional 1,000 words. These prices *include* a proofreading by a third party. The price quote I gave in my bid reflects a volume rebate, so this quote is not negotiatable. Try not to fall for the "can-translate-alls" - much of their "work" lands on my desk to be corrected (or to be thrown away and given a re-start. Seriously. "Milestone" payments are to be made in full, in advance, I will not request payout before delivery of the respective steps.
