Scriptjobber logo

I need a logo for a new company I am creating called Scriptjobber. This will be operated out of the website [login to view URL] but it will not just be a website. I just want Scriptjobber in the logo. My father is a retired graphic artist so I am somewhat familiar with various fonts and design types. I want this to look formal enough on letterhead but also to be innovative and eye catching. We'd all love to find the next Nike swoosh. I'd like this to be able to look good in both color and black and white. I am aware of how much ink something can use so if the design is bold I think it should be as thin as possible. I would like to stay green in that regard rather than having a logo that just eats printer toner. I'd like to also have this be something that stand outs in a magazine ad, on conference sign, as well as a t-shirt or on a movie screen. This is a logo that will likely end up in many forms of media including video and film so should translate consistently under various light conditions. I also need it to be sized in a way that makes it easily scalable in all formats and ratios. Naturally type writer fonts come to mind but I'd like to have something more original than that. Too many companies that work with scripts have the old typewriter font in their corporate design. This company will serve as a broker for intellectual property such as screenplays. Think of the product sold on Scriptjobber as a derivative sold on an exchange. A jobber was traditionally a person who kept track of the trades at stock exchanges and booked the transactions as a middle man. Scriptjobber will be serving as the middleman in transactions for the sale and acquisitions of scripted content. I worked at Sony Pictures and liked their SPE logo and how it used a projected image. That was a good mix of creative design in a simple corporate logo in my opinion. I hope this helps and gives you a solid basis for what I seek.
