WordPress Website / Update

This is a simple project for an WordPress expert with high freelancer ratings and who knows what they are doing. You need to know your way around Frameworks - Genesis/Thesis experience is a bonus. The following work needs to be done on: w w w b r a i n r e s e a r c h s u p p l e m e n t com

1. Change the Wordpress theme. We are currently using Thesis 1.8 and we want to change it to Genesis 2.1 + Metro Pro theme

2. Update WordPress to the latest version and make sure everything runs smoothly after update

3. Install/setup Yoast plugin for SEO purposes

4. Clean up/update all installed plugins. Make sure all plugins are compatible and we will provide you with any new updated plugins needed.

5. Make the new site is fully responsive. The new theme should look exactly like the existing theme (we want to keep our design) and work properly on mobile devices (apple, microsoft, android). We will test everything with browserstack to make sure there are no problems on different devices

6. Confirm

- outgoing mail application works on the new server

7. Newsletter needs to connect to a MailChimp account.

8. Test the new site with PageSpeed Insights. Improve the loading speed (based on Google Insights recommendations)

- cache on WordPress, Apache server

- gzip compression

- Java script and CSS minification

- image optimization

- etc.

9. We have a simple post submitting interface, which is used by our writers to submit articles. That interface must work on the new site

10. Make sure [url removed, login to view], microformats, Google authorship and open graph protocol are all active and fully functional on the new site
