Objective
Develop a Shipping and Delivery Portal that allows users to post items they need shipped or delivered and to receive quotes and rates from drivers and delivery companies.
• Consumers (anonymous identity/contact info) post various types of items to be picked up and shipped including Packages, Household Items, Vehicles, Pets/Animals, Freight etc.
• Drivers and delivery companies (anonymous identity/contact info) sign up and place bids on posted shipments from consumers
• Consumers search bids based on reviews, location, rates and other factors.
• Once consumer selects the winning bid, the anonymous bidder (driver) is informed and must pay 10% of the total amount of the bid to unlock and reveal the consumers contact information.
• Drivers receive payment for delivery
Project Scope
• Website Development – build a new website/web platform with an administrative backend for ongoing management
o Consumer/User Access – Users sign up and create a Shipment (front-end)
o Driver/User Access – Drivers sign up and bid on Shipments (front-end)
o Backend/Client Access – Client manages both User and Driver accounts, Shipments and Payments
• Search Engine Optimization & Lead Generation – optimize the website to rank for keywords and search terms to stimulate user registrations
