Hi Brittany, I just saw your call and I would like to learn more about your story. You haven't specified how many illustrations you would need, so please consider my quote and timeline only provisional at this point. I'm a traditionally trained artist and I've been working as an old-school (mostly children's books) illustrator for many years. Since I strongly prefer to work by hand on paper (I'm convinced that children relate much better to hand drawn art), you'd be receiving original, handcrafted, done from scratch art in any of the traditional media. I normally deliver high res scans, but it is possible to have the originals sent or to arrange for print-ready book (layout and design included). In the process of work, I first develop a storyboard, design the characters and draft the scenes in pencil. In this phase unlimited revisions are possible, until the work is fully approved. I then proceed with colouring/painting/inking, working either independently or in constant consultation with you.
