My name is Stephen G., and I am a writer by trade who has taken a broad spectrum of my ideas involving wordplay and language manipulation/parody in relation to famous expressions, phrases, and pop culture entities, in the pursuit of starting an original T-shirt brand. These ideas are primarily humorous, (although not necessarily), and seek to offer fresh and alternative perspectives on the spate of T-shirt concepts presently available in the marketplace. This endeavor is new for me, and as such, I am just learning the process as I go along. To give you a general sense of where I’m heading, to launch the brand/online store, I will be focusing on four separate and popular niche areas which are: 1) Movies; 2) relationships/romance; 3) pets/animals/pit bulls; and 4) cooking/food. Ultimately, my hope is to create a significant enough following for the brand to the extent that I am able to introduce a much wider array of unique and original T-shirt ideas, not confined to specific categories or online communities. However, in order to most effectively launch the brand/store and gain an initial customer base, it appears to be essential that one specifically target select niches.
My thought was that just to get a sense of how we work together, in addition to your creative instincts and ability to execute these types of ideas, I would begin by sending you 4 shirt concepts. Based on how well everything goes and the outcome of the final four shirts, we can hopefully continue to work together and proceed towards completing all 8 shirts, two for each niche, which I’ll be using as the basic storefront in order to launch the online store. From there, as people begin to gain interest and catch on to the uniqueness of this brand, then, the “sky’s the limit”. (At this point, my portfolio has well over one-hundred, and counting, catchy and original concepts). It's useful to reiterate that the majority of these ideas are based on wordplay in conjunction with popular expressions, phrases, and forms of entertainment surrounding American popular culture and the English language. I mention this only because it’s important that the prospective artist have some grasp of these things in order to most effectively render them in a compelling and effective fashion.
Anyway, I very much look forward to your response, and if you feel that this is something towards which you are inclined and that matches your creative sensibilities, then please let me know your thoughts, and I will send those first four ideas ASAP.
Thank you very much for you time and consideration.
