I am seeking a talented web designer to create a captivating and user-friendly WordPress blog focused on current affairs and politics. I have developed a template which I would like the person to use to create the exact site but on WordPress, using the hosting I will provide them with. I will provide the winning bidder with a link to the sample I have created outside of WordPress.
Given this website will be used to regularly post my blog updates, articles and other content, the website needs to be designed on WordPress so that I can easily do this regularly, sometimes 10 or 20 times per day.
Ideal skills and experience for the job include:
- Proficiency in WordPress, including theme and plugin selection that complements the blog's focus areas
- Experience in designing websites for content-heavy platforms, preferably with a portfolio that includes blogs
- Strong understanding of design principles to create a visually appealing layout that supports text-heavy content
- Ability to integrate social media and sharing features to enhance engagement and reach
- Knowledge of SEO best practices to ensure content visibility and attract the target audience
- Understanding of user experience (UX) design to cater to a wide demographic, including millennials and professionals, with varying levels of technical proficiency
