We need an InDesign script to export text in a variety of formats from InDesign CS6 and CC. This script will require the user to click on a text frame to identify the Story to be exported. It will then export the story to 3 formats (separate files) for: 1. Plain text, 2. InDesign Tags, 3. HTML. Using the standard InDesign export formats. What is different is that prior or during export it will add a hidden tag at the point where each text frame starts which will identify in the exported text the absolute page number and page name that the frame sits on. The purpose of this script is to assist in automatic indexing of the books we publish for which we use an external database. Other Scripts to improve the formatting of the standard HTML export may follow on from this initial requirement.

Hi, I create script and extension for adobe InDesign, I checked your request, and I think i can create your script, but before you can accept can you contact me to discuss this project, the problem I have is export the story, to get the selected textFrame is OK and access the story is OK too, if you can include a video of the manual way you do that, that will be very helpful, so i need to do some tests with an example of INDD file before we can move further.
