Create separate navigation stack for popover

I want an example on how to do the following with Ionic 2: - Create a popover page. - Use a separate navigation stack within the popover, so that pages can be pushed onto the popover's navigation stack instead of that of the main view. This is quite easy to do natively in iOS, but not obvious (at least to me) in Ionic. Please see the attached screenshots for an example (implemented with Cocoa Touch/Obj-C).
