Backup software

Hi there, i Can build a data backup system that will check files in a folder and then get the md5 hash of that file and then it will store those information in the db. I will use sql or sqlite for the database. Then by checking the hash we can easily identify is it a new file or an existing. That how we can deduct data duplication and minimize the backup size. At the last we store all those info to a serializable class file then store it to a .bin file.I will use .net framework and c# is the [login to view URL] is the basic structure for more please ping me.

I can do this in Powershell since it's the easiest way to manipulate files for me. So this script will iterate through all the files in a given path. The information for each file will be stored in an object with name ,path, checksum, size and date as properties. We will add every file fund to this object, unless it already exists (it's a duplicate), in which case the file will be removed and replaced with a shortcut pointing to the first file that was found with the same checksum.
