Need JAVA programmer to Port Java Applet as standalone JAVA Agent

We need a Java expert to port and reverse engineer an Applet running inside a web application, and bring it as a standalone java application. The application we're talking about is an web based SSL VPN , and the Applet itself is the client for opening a remote SSL tunnel against our servers. We need the client to run as a standalone application (a .jar and a .bat files), and make it customizable so we can use it to connect to our multiple different tunnels (via properties files or jvm parameters inside the bat file; being able to configure host, port, etc). The project was already started and the current standalone agent version has some bugs and not functioning properly. It actually runs standalone and connects to the server, but we need to replicate the session the Applet used to have when running inside the browser and continue moving forward. We have the SSL VPN instance is already setup and running and we can provide the login details to test the standalone JAVA agent. We will also provide the current source code of the current agent and all accompanying source codes for the SSL VPN
