I have seen the pom you have attached and now I know there are at least 74 dependencies in this parent maven project which you want to migrate. Apart from I will look into all the hierarchical dependencies in order to fulfill the migration. I know this is a migration and that data consistency is a must, so as far as the requirements says, any improvements on Hibernate configuration will be discussed before implementing, if any. So it's better the current code works as it is instead of not working by improving. So when you make your decision, please take into account that I will go through all the development cycle and as fast as possible. I have done this kind of migration from Java 4 to Java 8 and it took me some time when I did it first time, but then I know it does not involves too much complexity.
