Hello,
I need a WordPress load-balancing solution. I have multiple cpanel servers in the USA, Europe, and Asia. Each server has an exact duplicate of our website. We use Cloudflare to load balance the traffic and direct traffic to the server with the lowest latency based on location.
We also have a staging site, and when we update the site, we push the changes out to the servers, which works fine.
The problem is how can we access the wp-admin for each location. I tried using the IP, and it does not work. And it's not practical to set a temporary hostname on my local machine as it messes up access to the USA site.
I completely get we could use a single DB, but then we're back to a single point of failure. And yes, we could add a fail-over DB. But the fact is, even if we did use a single DB for all the sites, the latency caused by the DB in the USA would be higher for the site in ASIA than just running the DB off the same cpanel server.
This project is to help me outline and implement a fix for this issue or offer a better solution and then implement it.
