Reworking of two logos

We are looking for a new logo and have two good options. I need both options to be perfected.
Our company makes custom-fit earphones and our Company name is Revols.
We want the logo to be an R , and be associated with an Ear.
We have two good options but need the following work done:
Logo 1: The ear looks like an elf ear, it needs to be reshaped to look more like a human ear.
Logo 2: The logo looks too artsy, it needs to look more modern, techy, and cool.
I don't think either logo will take more than a half hour to rework and clean up.
