I believe what you may be experiencing is what we called the 2 hop issue, where the linked server you are trying to create is 2 hops away from where you are creating the linked server. the way this need to be fixed is to make sure that you are using kerberos authentication properly and you might be on the right track with SPN issue. This is where I will start my investigation after looking at your errorlog.
