SQL 2008 DB Migration

I'm UK based too and can complete this over a weekend. Can you confirm but 2008 and 2017 will be on the same server? will they be on the same named instance? I've entered a rough estimate on price as there may be stored procedures etc which will complicate things so I'd need to do a trial run before hand.
