The offline capabilities are very good solution when the app doesn't to store data on a remote data base, you actual situation can be this one, BUT you should know for example firebase cloud give you chance to persist data on your phone then you access directly . ON android now, There is a new solution called ROOM for storing data locally. This library use SQLite and SQL syntax to fetch and store data .
