Our Software is an Android Mobile application that displays the user favorite news’ and events’ websites based on his location which the application will detect automatically. In Addition, a web based backend to add more news and events websites.
1.2 Scope
Our mobile application will detect the user location through GPS and display the news and the events due to the current location automatically. All the feed from the news and events websites is Rich Site Summary (RSS) feed. So, all the news will be updated automatically from the news website itself. Finally, The System will contain a backend that should help the system administrator to add more news and events feed source to the application database.
1.3 Business Goals
Our project is a mobile application for public service because we are providing a simpler way to get the news and the events based on your current location. The application also is getting the feed from other resources which are not part of our company. So, businesswise our application cannot be sold commercial (cost to download). Therefore, our business goals will concentrate on advertisement.
• Advertisements can be shown within the App
• The application is detecting your location to get the news feed. We can use the same concept to display Ads based on location
• The idea of the application is important for a large number of users. Therefore, it will attract many companies to advertise with us.
