Write an Android and Apple Application

RMS SAFETY “COMPASS SYSTEM” PROJECT COMPANY OVERVIEW: We are a safety consulting firm based out of Indianapolis, IN. A basic description of what we do is… we help our clients prevent employee injuries and comply with OSHA. Some of the services we provide include: writing corporate policies, training employees, inspecting facilities/jobsites (we call inspections “audits”), and investigating accidents. PROJECT OVERVIEW: We currently document employee training, write audit reports, and document our accident investigations on paper. We want to create a website and/or phone app that will allow us to do this electronically. We are open to discussing/exploring different options, but at this time we feel that the phone app will basically be used to gather the data and then send it to the website which would store the data and allow our customers to view and/or analyze it. We want both to have a professional appearance that corresponds with our website theme ([login to view URL]). Ideally, we would like apps to be created for Droids as well as iPhones, but we would prioritize the Droid app first and may want to split this into two separate projects for budgetary reasons. HISTORY OF PROGRESS: A relative of one of our employees has a software background and agreed to make a “mobile friendly” website that would do everything we want done. He said this would eliminate the need for apps and cost less. We came to an agreement (financially) for him to do this and he started in November 2016. In May of 2017 he informed us that he had changed jobs and his new employer had him traveling often. Because of this he said he didn’t have time to finish the project. The “mobile friendly” website that he created is probably 75-80% finished, but we have decided to explore the option of abandoning it and moving toward a true app. The main reason is because our consultants are often in remote areas and would not be able to use the software if they don’t have phone service, which would cause major issues. With this said, the website still has value because it would be a good source of reference for whoever takes this project (to see some of the layout and functionality).
