Attention: Freelancer.com experienced java developer I have a java web application site [login to view URL] written under J2EE, JSP, Struts, JBoss and MySQL, which is hosted by a company called [login to view URL] based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. I need to migrate my site from the old VPS to a new, up to date hosting platform. Please read which is practically the requirement for the job to be done. The reason I am seeking an experienced Java Developer to do the work. Please read below to understand the requirement. Dear Rene, On 6/2/2017 we began the migration of your VPS to a new, up to date hosting platform. After the initial migration attempt we realized that your application is not compatible with the newer version of server softwares running on the new platform. This will result in your website not working properly if we continue with the cutover to the new server. The following website/applications will have problems. [login to view URL] - JBoss 4 app. The only way to move forward with this migration is to update your application to run on the newer platform. Please note that the current underlying software and operating systems are currently End of Life and no longer supported by their vendors. You may want to involve your web developer for this upgrade. You may continue to use your old VPS on the old platform. But please note the that the old platform will be designated as End of Life on Oct 15th 2017. What this means is that the platform will no longer be supported and will be subject to outages. Also, eApps assumes no responsibility for service issues that impact you due to the End of Life status of the platform you are on.
