File Integrity Checker in C# Requirements: Write a Console application using .NET Framework 2 / 3 that will scan a number of files for changes and report any changes using sha1 and/or md5. Should be able to Output to logfile, syslog or email (as set by configuration) Use xml configuration to configure output, database location, directories to monitor and if they should be recursively, any files/extensions to be exlucded. Database to store md5/sha1 values should be .mdf Command line options: scan To perform a scan against db to find new files/changed files/deleted files - will usually be run daily using scheduler cleandb To clean database (remove all previous entries) build To run first time to build database (no logging/reporting) Code and copyright will be owned by buyer with the option to publish as opensource
